I remember my first encounters with the sex positivity/sex positive movement, especially through the internet. I remember loving the basic principle of the thing: “Sex is awesome! No one should be ashamed of their sexuality or wanting…
Just wanted to make a point of how professional porn is going to be what it is and what it is is a business. You’re never going to get a genuine production from them because what they’re going for is a target audience, which (very sadly) is usually white and thin in this country. Same thing goes for Hollywood, the places you mentioned in your post and even a lot of products that seem to go for people who fit don’t that norm. As soon as the goal of a product or of a company’s becomes one of making money, it loses its sincerity.
This is one of the main reasons why you should not look for “sex positivity” here, especially if you’re seeking for what doesn’t fall into the norm. Only to the individual can acceptance of all sexuality be found, not in an industry. This is spoken from someone who is “fat” and has been called ugly most of her life.
Beauty is beauty, and can only be decided on the individual as to how they see and hold it. It’s foolish to seek to others or a business to do this for you, and even more so to seek them to “liberate” you. Only you can do this for yourself, no one else.
On a side note, the idea of “supremacy” has occurred in all races, not just “whites.” True, whites have done a chunk of it, but to deny that they aren’t the only ones to or aren’t the major holders is just as harmful as to ignore that it happens.
