Things like this make me want to play dnd but the only groups I know here are super serious types who hate fun

Mine is like these.

Oh MAN- do I have some dnd stories.

I remember the one time out character with the highest intelligence stat was given the powers of a god for a minute. Said highest intelligence was a young, very silly, wizard halfling. The DM said he could do anything. 

And that was how the big bad was turned into a giant fruit basket.

i remember the first time my sister was the DM and she had us stumble upon a bunch of orcs drinking in a circle.

we shot a fire arrow and set them a blaze.

another time, when my cousin was DM, I was dying and my sister tried to leave me for dead, my cousin said that if she left me for dead, i would use all the strength i could muster and shoot her in the back and kill her.

she saved me and i didn’t have to get a new character.

I’ve always had a tough time differentiating if people who play DnD like this I should be pitying for straying so far from the rules that create an extremely fun/challenging experience or admiring them for not giving two shits and doing whatever they want just to have a good time.
